Sun Rises in The Night: Part 1 : From Dark Valleys to Golden Peaks

This is the true story of transforming life through love, meditation and willpower, in the midst of the most nerve-testing and depressing circumstances and formidable challenges posed by life.
This is the story of a man who often falls into dark nights of life- including bad habits of theft, corruption, smoking, drinking, and masturbation. But each time divine hand shows him the way and Grace of God comes in his way, without even his praying for help. That is why he author has titled this story as “Sun Rises in the Night”
When Mahesh is studying in the school he wins several prizes in poetry, story and essay writing beating even famous senior writers of those days. Inspiring teachers of the school give him a vision of becoming a top writer, telling him that he had capacity to become next Nobel Prize winner for literature for India after Tagore.
But upon completion of high school, due to financial circumstance and forceful persuasion of a chartered accountant brother, he ends up in selecting a commerce career in the college.
He has so much psychological grudge or disgust against accounting subject that he feels the sensation of vomiting, just by looking at book of accounting. This results into failure of all internal college exams. This hurts him badly as he had been topper of class in the school for last 10 years. He had hoped to be the topmost writer of the world.
His elder brother teaches him Yoga and shares another vision of becoming top in the world through spiritual journey. He shares with him vision of becoming a famous Yogi and enlightened master, a vision far bigger than that of being a top class writer.
Due to an Age-Bar of Gujarat University, he has to go the other state- Mumbai in Maharashtra for college studies at tender age of 14 years. But due to bad company in the hostel of the Mumbai, he gets caught into ugly habit of masturbation. This shatters down his dream to be Yogi too.
Failure of all dreams of life, leads him to such a dangerous stage of depression that he decides to commit suicide. After 3 failed suicide attempts, he decides to die just by his own strong mental decision at time of night. During his sleep he faces death like experience, and feels that he will die, if he does not come out from the sleep. He feels that it is not dream, but a real death. It is so frightening that he gets awake shouting loudly that I want to live. After hours of soothing touch of father and mother, he is able to get calm enough to go back to sleep.
Next morning he happens to get front seat in first public talk of Osho in Ahmedabad. Osho looks into his eyes before the talk. Surprising he tell story of man who wants to know end of the world and reaches to the sign on Mountain saying: “Here Ends the World’ at the topmost a peak of the mountain. But when he peeps on the other side of the peak, he gets frightened and runs back. Then Osho tells that if he had been present that moment, he would have told that man to jump into the abyss, because on the other side of the signboard it was written: “Here begins the God”
This story touches him deeply. Thereafter he comes in close touch of Osho. He has a series of meetings with Osho. He discusses with Osho various real life issues like Sex, Anger, Fear, etc. with him. With practical and positive teaching of Osho, he becomes free from the habit of masturbation and also free from psychological grudge against accounting.
Then later on gets initiated into Sannyas Diksha by Osho in 1972. It is very second batch of Sannysin of Osho, after new kind of Sannyas started by Osho in Manali. Osho gives him name of Swami Yog Siddharth.
That time he comes in touch with an extremely beautiful and young Sannyasin girl Yog Priya. The first time Mahesh gets a glimpse of deep love with the opposite sex without any inclination for sex. This divine love, constant practice of awareness and grace of Osho lead him soon to the experience of Satori- a state of infinite bliss.
