What follows is a harrowing pursuit through the burning streets of the decimated city as Kiyoshi tries to return home to his family and his home town of Nagasaki. Released in two parts, serial-style novel takes Kiyoshi through the aftermath of the first atomic bomb and into Japan's chemical and biological weapons program, where he strives for redemption and debates the morality of winning at all costs.
