Inside the assembly hangar at Brinton Aviation, a young aircraft designer is found dead in what appears to be an industrial accident. His fiancé thinks otherwise and entails the help of ex-MI5 officer Alex Swan and his colleague former Scotland Yard detective Arthur Gable to investigate the incident. Little do they realise that they and the world at large are going to come face to face with the dark side of governments: the politics of gain and an overriding desire for supremacy that pays no notice to collateral damage.
