Bob Marley

At the age of 18, in the Northern parts of Jamaica Cedella Marley gave birth to a boy in Rhodan Hall. The day was February 6 1945, and she named the boy Robert Nesta Marley. Jamaica, the land known to the Arawak peoples as the Island of Springs - a beautiful, and fertile land, home of the Blue Mountains. Jamaica was a land that had just become an independent nation in 1962. Robert Nesta’s beginnings were humble, though his strength, perseverance and talent took him to the heights of becoming a mythical hero worldwide.
