Leviathan: The unsolved mystery of the sea

A young painter, fascinated with the colony of marine iguanas, moved to Melville on the Denovian Sea, to produce a series of watercolour paintings for the 'Popular Science Institute'. Surprisingly he discovers that Dr. Thompson lives in the same village. The doctor was known in the Academy of Science circles mainly because of the scandal caused by a mechanical squid he created using cruel methods and experiments on dogs and monkeys. He fled to South Africa where he continued working on the forbidden experiments in a secret laboratory, his main goal being to expose the beast that is as old as the sea, the final incarnation of all beasts.
