📖 Description
T1 digital transport has been around for well over 50 years. This method of digital transport was developed at Bell Labs right after World War-II and was used to carry voice traffic within cities and across the country. It was designed to concentrate voice and eventually low speed data across the telephone and private networks. The cellular wireless networks were built with T1 circuits being used as backhaul to switching and data centers. This manual is designed to show how T1 works, how it is framed, and transported across copper, microwave and fiber networks. It also includes important information on T1 alarms, indicators, and testing. This manual supports the DTS on-line course of the same name.
