3D FAITH: Incidents pleasing to God

As the Gospels are read throughout the year I for one cannot ignore the incidents of Christ praising the faith expressed by individuals around him. One also cannot ignore the hard attitude our Lord had against organised religion and doctrines of the day while he walked among the Jewish nation of two thousand years ago. It is however in the writings of Paul that I personally am goaded on by his repeated theme “Imitate me, as I also imitate Christ.”
The Gospels say the reason for Jesus’ coming is that man might have life and that might be a life abundant. While some may interpret this as hitting the mall with $20,000 to spend I cannot imagine Christ having such and affluent outlook on his mind at the time. The abundant life I can easily imagine Jesus was talking about is along the lines of the movement he started himself; that abundant life was faith of God, faith in the miraculous, in fact the presence of the kingdom of heaven at hand. This is an investigation of what the word faith really meant to our Lord Jesus.
