• TRILOGY - Three of American author Harriett T. Comstock's novels are in this Kindle book: The Place Beyond the Winds; Janet of the Dunes; and Joyce of the North Woods
The Place Beyond the Winds
Never was there a braver, truer wanderer than Priscilla of Lonely Farm. She had great faith and an ideal that never faded. She found love, too—love that had to be tested by a man's sense of honor and a woman's determination.
Janet of the Dunes (1908)
An old-fashioned romance set in a seaside town on Long Island, where the lighthouse operates and artists come to paint quaint scenery. Janet (of the title) is asked to pose for one of the artists and they fall in love. Meanwhile, Janet discovers her past, which is much more mysterious than the reader is at first led to believe.
Joyce of the North Woods (1911)
Jude was polishing a gun when he heard the news about Joyce and Gaston. Could they possibly be a couple? Jude’s hot French blood rose in his veins. He watched Gaston's shack from a distance. If Jude couldn’t have the woman he loved, he wasn’t sure he’d let another man take what he believed to be his right.
About the Author
New York born Harriet Comstock (1860–1925) wrote romance novels and children's books, which were both very popular in her era.
Other Books By The Same Author:
Mam'selle Jo (1918)
A Novel of the St. Lawrence Country (1918)
This is a story of a woman who lacked beauty and the beautiful things in life but through prayer she found success. Having raised her eyes from the earth which had been her battlefield, she made a vow to take what was possible from the odds and ends of happiness and weave what she could into love and service.
