Lingering With Diamonds

Two sets of short humorous stories. Part 1 features Alfred and Squidge, would-be diamond thieves who have their eyes on Horatio Nokdoff's precious jewels. Part 2 is set in the sleepy, village of Lingering-in-the Marsh. Not the sort of place ambitious young policemen would wish to be sent to, but they are. Worse still, a pretty and ambitious young lady stalks the street and has an eye for a man in uniform.
