VACHANA VAIBHAVA (SANGEETHA-NRUTHYA ROOPAKA)

This is about the propounders of the Veerashaiva philosophy, who were called "Sharanas." They are Allama Prabhu, Basavanna, Akka Mahadevi, and Muktayakka and many others. They were the upholders of the "Shatsthala" philosophy, viz Bhakta, Mahesha, Prasadi, Pranalingi, Sharana and Aikya. This dance drama is conceived on the basis of these tenets. These tenets are termed as "Vachanas," and 6 such vachanas are selected for this feature.
