Long before living off the grid was a National Geographic or Discovery Channel series, an unplanned event caused us to move into our tipi in 30 days. With children. And snow on the ground. Today, because there are so many options to create a self-sufficient and sustainable lifestyle, I pulled together resources that may be helpful for others who would like to explore this path.
