The purpose of these pages is to encourage those who are not working to seek lawful employment in order to fulfill their responsibilities and implement this sunnah (prophetic methodology) in their lives, and so that those who do have jobs work with the proper intention in mind so that this also is counted as an act of worship. This work attempts to address a problem I have seen where people look down upon employment, feel that it is ar m (unlawful) to have a job, or have a job but feel that they are committing some great wrong by working to provide for themselves and their family.
