But losing her job turns into the B story when she sees a picture of her husband with his arms wrapped around a live Barbie doll. Publicity stunt or is her marriage over? Ken isn't available for comment, but her two teenaged children have snarks to spare.
Enter Val, the hottie replacement for their fallen star. His timing is as perfect as his physique. A little flirtation saves the scene from getting too bleak. Then again, he could be a red herring when it turns out he might be a cross-dressing serial killer. Even her best friend's pearls of wisdom don't amount to much more than an offer of a cigarette and the name of the best place to get a bikini wax.
