These plans will show you how to build a 115 VAC 400 Hz Three Phase power supply that uses 12 volts DC as the input. Item that you can power include gyros in attitude indicators (our test unit is a good old J8), directional gyros, airspeed indicators, VSI, etc. There are many high quality inexpensive 400 Hz instruments available via surplus. This power supply will let you operate these from a standard 12 VDC aircraft supply. A completed unit can weigh more than 10 pounds (transformers are heavy!). This unit will power several average instruments. Intermediate electronic building skills are required to build these plans.
