Description
Alzheimers' killed by Dad in 2003. In 2015 I decided to walk to his graveside for Fathers Day to pay my respects. I lived in northern France. His grave was in Lancashire - over 400 miles away. I walked there and raised over £3500 for The Alzheimers' Society. This book is the story of that walk - how I organised the walk, how it felt and how it changed me. 10% of the profits of this book will go to The Alzheimers' Society.
The walk took me through Kent and then from London I followed the canal network. I stayed with friends, people I met via Couchsurfing and I also wild camped using a hammock and tarpaulin. I even did a two hour radio programme with BBC Radio Lancashire. It was an unforgettable journey.
