Description
Humanity has enter a new Dark Age and neither technology nor space colonies will save us. Only the heroes on Golden Hyperion can. Or can they? Darkness in the form of an secret society shows to us and proves to us that nothing can save us. Humanity will never change. So it must be control at any cost. And those who tries to defend our freedoms and liberties will discover to their horrors that any time they think that they may finally have a chance at victory some newer, greater, horror awaits them. "They never had a chance. So... Welcome to Hell." As the enemy would say. But somehow in some way the heroes survive despite impossible odds.
But can they ever deliver us all from the forces of evil that threatens our freedoms and liberty?
The series is basically a metaphor for human civilization and the people's struggle to maintain their freedoms and liberties from those who wish to control the people and make them a slave in one form or that of another. (It's why technology and venturing out into space won't save us.) That what we see around us is, not only the way that it always was (Think George Orwell.), but the way that it always will be. (Think Police State & Surveillance State.). That nothing will change until something change within the human heart and soul. Until that day, any century has a certain element of an Orwellian present to it. An element that lies somewhere under the surface for all to see, but at the same time it could be all consuming Consuming all in its dark desires of making slaves of us all. But it we rally then maybe we could somehow stop it. History, however, is less concern about our feelings, our freedoms, and our liberties. And thus... some new horror awaits us.
Some newer way of doing away with all that we care about.
It is best to be realistic, no matter how painful, than to be delusional when confronted by all those who wish to turn the Age of Aquarius into the Age of the Elites. Or something very similar. The book is thus a way to give hope, real hope, and not false hope, to all who thinks the same. For it is best to display realistic hope than some delusional form of it.
Fight the good fight... or fight for nothing.
