Christina had loved Rafael for her entire life, all eight years of it anyway. When she is moved away from Rafael across the country, she pines for him and her home in New Orleans for years. However, time has a way of healing what ails you; well time and a little fiery spirit. Christina strived to become the daughter her parents could be proud of, especially in a time when women were just supposed to look pretty and be a good wife to their husbands. But deep down, Christina had ambitions of her own that would take her on adventures only found in her imagination. Take a trip on the mighty Mississippi, travel the wilds of uncolonized islands, taste the fares of the great city of New Orleans and perhaps one day those adventures would finally lead her to her heart's desire.
