Description
This book is no travel guide. It's a romantic suspense novel, emphasis on the suspense.
“A man without love is worse off than a stillborn child.” Paraphrased quote from King Solomon himself.
David is a brooding loner, bruised by a nasty divorce, an unfaithful wife, the loss of his children, and the Great Recession. To top it off, the only job he can find is as a bag boy in a grocery store.
Angleyn is an online sex slave in the Philippines, alone to raise her son and support her family in a country where the average wage is less than a hundred dollars a month.
Both swear they will never love again. But two negatives always make a positive.
Degraded and embarrassed, David keeps his distance from everyone and everything, determined to insulate himself from risk or pain. In the evenings, he escapes to the online world of Asian cam girls. He strikes up a real friendship with Angel-flower. He opens up to her and finds a compassionate listening ear. He determines to meet her in person and win her love.
Angleyn (Angel-flower) cries herself to sleep at night with a picture of her distant son by her head. She endures the desires of horny men all over the world. She does things she never imagined possible and can’t help her anger at the one true love of her life, who abandoned her to this shameful fate.
Robert fails to understand the gravity of his newfound quest. He travels to Asia and finds Angelyn, set on rescuing her from her torment. A range of evil characters aim to stop him at any cost. He will have to dig deep and endure the unbearable, if he wants to prevail. A violent manager, a corrupt senator with the police in his pocket, a mental hospital where even the sane lose perspective, and a doctor who refuses to believe his story, all conspire to push him over the edge.
Can true love prevail over such unthinkable opposition, fear, anger, and the vows of two injured souls? Complete at 70,000 words, my romantic suspense tale, Americano in the Philippines, is full of twists and turns, action, and a sweet love story that will leave the reader satisfied, gratified, and waiting for the next book in the series.
Some of the best reviews.

This is a really good read..though be forewarned.....you run the risk of staying up all night to finish it. I found it a brilliant and charming book. It's not the usual love story you find in most romance novels. the author did a good job at making the characters so realistic and the story itself so down to earth. It almost sounds like a story from a close friend and his/her life experiences. The feelings appear real to me and each situation has that innate realistic value. One of the greatest reads I had.
5.0 out of 5 starsrefreshing and brand new...amazing storyline

This one had me enchanted. It was a refreshing book. I couldn’t wait to get to the end; it had me so engrossed I think I even missed a meal or two to get this finished.
This is no sweet harlequin story with the billionaire H and beautiful goddess-like h. This story runs along with reality, I love that and appreciate it of the author writing like this. Most books I’ve read so far are so clichéd and in whole imaginary world, it’s so frustrating. This is my first time reading a book like this, and I am sure I will go for more ones like this, i.e. realistic ones, in the future.
From the reviews you cans see that this novel has a real chance to be a best selling romantic suspense story. It could even become a top ten travel romance. It is one of the best new romance books you will read this year. I am that confident in this work of fiction. Happy reading to all.
