In a dystopian future, Max Beckett is summonsed to Lost City by crime lord Kim Sung to learn who is undermining him. Beckett has an ulterior motive as his close friend Johnny November made the same trip and hasn't been seen again. Beckett is confronted by organ harvesters and Sung's sword-wielding mistress on his way to uncovering the truth. The Hard, Cold Kiss Goodbye is a bleak, noir tale fused with the best traditions of cyber-punk.
