In the wake of her mother’s sudden death, Avery Strouer finds herself shuffled off to the grandparents her mother never spoke about. Previously unaware of her existence, the Strouer’s can’t be bothered with getting to know her. So they do what they did with their own daughter sixteen years before…they send her off to boarding school.

It is there at Braunworth Hall that what’s left of Avery’s life turns to chaos.

The sudden disappearance of her room-mate launches a turn of events that has Avery walking a very precarious line between reality and perception. Though there’s no love lost between them, Avery can’t help but be bothered by her room-mate’s abrupt disappearance…and the gut feeling that she had something to do with it.

Suddenly, she can no longer trust herself any more than she can trust the mysterious guy who seems intent on earning her trust or her new room-mate, the polar opposite of her last. But that’s the least of her problems.
