Out of the darkness of nuclear catastrophe executed by terrorist that most terrorists feared, comes Dave Wolcott; a man of unique wit and courage trying to make his way in what is left of his world.

Fighting small bands of survivalists as he moves across the country, Wolcott works to keep himself alive from day to day until a brief and violent encounter sends his life spiraling in a direction he had never expected. After meeting a widow woman in wilds of northern New England, his biggest battles begin, one to make a life with her, and the other just to stay alive as vicious survivalists make him the hunted man.

Avoiding violence at almost any cost, Dave Wolcott soon turns the tables on his hunters and, with the help of friends they meet along the way, begins a new chapter in life as we know it.
