Pete lives with his sister Clara, father, and mother alone in the woods. Although his father works hard to pay for the medicine for their sick mother, it’s hard on everyone – so one day Pete decides to talk to the old wise man who lives outside the village. Clara tags along against his wishes, and together the two of them receive a mission from the wise man in exchange for medicine: infiltrate the stronghold of a dragon and steal a golden book. With no other choices, Pete and Clara set out to the Gray Mountain to find the dragon and steal the book, and along the way meet new friends.
But the question still remains: will Pete and Clara be able to outsmart the dragon who lives inside the mountain and get away with the golden book? And even if they do, can they really trust the wise old man?
