Crown of Light

This book is a collection of stories originally written in Telugu, one of the Indian languages, by Dr Suseela Somaraju. The stories are set to different time time periods - from the great depression of early thirties of twentieth century to the present day. A myriad of personal, social and cultural themes, both traditional and modern are portrayed with rich emotions, profound reflections and typical characters. Certain amount of literary artistic license has been used to preserve the distinct flavor and poetic nature of Telugu language and style of expression. This no doubt gives the stories a unique, authentic aspect and which brings the characters vibrantly to life.
