Environment for Agile Teams: How to create an environment that supports agility

There are many Agile methods and Agile consultants (also known as Agile Coaches) who will teach your team(s) how to apply this or that process (Scrum still seems most popular), do TDD and conduct retrospectives. All of that is important - but teams need more than a good process. They also need an environment that will be supportive of agility, that will help them grow to actually become teams rather than groups of individuals. That environment is everything that influences the team besides the process & the product: the physical environment teams are in as well as the organization's culture, structure and management style.

This work is about that environment, it is experience-based advice how to set it up right focused on two main areas - the physical environment (rooms etc.) and management (role managers play in Agile companies and style they shall use to be effective supporters of Agile teams).
