Quantitative Research Methods and Methodologies in Accounting: A Student Reader

This reader is intended for students enrolled in a master's level accounting course that focuses on quantitative research. It serves to introduce students to the philosophy, methods and methodologies used in conducting empirical accounting research. This reader focuses on the mainstream approach to producing such research. Hence, secondary/archival data analysis will be emphasised. Students will be introduced to regression analysis as the main statistical approach to analyse data. PhD students and post-doc researchers in accounting would also find this reader useful as a number of the techniques and approaches discussed are readily applicable to research that is quantitative in nature.
