The Darcy’s prepare for guests after the good fortune of a time alone as a family for several months. However, when the Bingley’s arrive with a last minute addition, Elizabeth and Darcy discover assisting Bingley in his quest to secure an estate to be plagued with problems. Thomas Stockton, cousin to Charles Bingley, discovered several years earlier how to maintain the life of a gentleman through the art of blackmail, manipulation and compromise.
