Elizabeth Bennet heard the words tumultuously echo in her mind, along with the constant reminder from her mother that she was not upholding to expectations and was yet to willingly find herself a good man that wished to marry her.
Yet finding gainful employment in the Bennet restaurant for a half score of her thirty years, only partially fulfilling the family desire that she find herself a good man; settle and marry with that man; produce a number of children who could be spoilt by her parents and, lastly, to feed her family until the day of her appointed hour with death.
