The Marshmallow

When life interferes with a young love that seems meant to be, Carl and Dee Dee have no choice but to go their separate ways. Each one ends up trapped in a loveless marriage with unforeseen complications, but find solace in dreams of what might have been. Even when fate intervenes, bringing Carl McLellan and his daughters to live, literally, in Dee Dee Biggers' backyard - there seems to be no hope for the long-lost lovers - until an incident involving a single marshmallow abruptly changes everything.
