ABOUT THIS BOOK... The authors of the New Testament wrote about various people experiencing many different kinds of spiritual events during the early church age. Often times, the writers themselves were the subjects of these religious epiphanies of various forms. They never recanted them even unto their deaths. However, sometime after the city of Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD, many Christian churches thereafter pronounced that these religious experiences stopped. It has been said that all of these unique experiences were only given to initiate the start of the Christian church. They were only meant to be foundational. But, even today, some denominations believe that this perspective isn't true and practice the "Gifts of the Spirit" of that age. These are deep theological issues for which the author is not qualified to debate nor is it the purpose of this book. What the author does reveal in the pages of this book are true revelations of his personal experiences that have occurred to him over the course of sixty-two years. They started in 1946 at the age of three and continued until 2008. They didn't occur very often but they occurred with perfect timing at critical junctures of his life. A number of these occurrences resulted in actions that dramatically changed the course of the writer's life and that of his family. The impacts created by acting on these epiphanies caused reverberations which continue to manifest themselves even today in technology, business, and the lives of people who were directly or indirectly involved. The author has no answers as to why he was the subject and the benefactor of these events. In fact, the only explanations that paralleled his experiences that he could find were the myriad of similar events spoken of in the Bible. And, with much thought over the years, he has classified his particular events into three major categories--manifestations, visions, and miracles. He has not had any similar events since 2008 that could be categorized into his three subject areas although some recent experiences defy logical explanations but are of a more personal nature outside the scope of this book. This book will upset two kinds of people -- theologians and atheists but for totally different reasons! The atheists believe that there is no God or spiritual realm -- period. Most theologians believe that God exists but that today He no longer uses the foundational gifts once offered to the Church. What the author wishes to accomplish with these two groups and their different perspectives is the consideration that both views are incorrect given the reality of the writer's personal events. This book represents the case of facts versus theories. But, ultimately, it is hoped that the candle of hope and encouragement will be lit for those many people of faith who daily struggle in life.
