The Retrieval of Janice Westhouse: A Place in Time Short Story

Elise Morley, professional time traveler, makes her living in the past. At the Place in Time Travel Agency, her job is to ensure that the Ten Essential Rules of Time Travel are adhered to and that clients who run into trouble on their historical vacations can make it safely back to the present where they belong.

On one such assignment, Elise travels to 1899 Colorado Springs, where a client wanting to take in the cleansing mountain air inadvertently allows the Place in Time's technology to fall into the wrong hands.
