'I quietly ate the Shepherd's pie in front of me. Andy D was going to be staying at my home. And I would have to go out to work. And my wife would be here. He was going to have hours of alone time with my wife. Andy was a jock’s jock. Six foot four, muscular as all hell, and black, I met him at college. At the initiation ceremony of our frat house. He quickly became everyone’s favorite. He was good looking, socially adept, funny, and rich to top it all off. I, on the other hand, was average in every single way. I lived with him for the first two years at the frat house, and then when I moved off campus I chose not to live with him, but he made it a point to be a constant presence in my life anyway. He got some pleasure having that power over me. From day 1 it was clear that he knew that I was intimidated by him. He was everything I wasn’t. He was strong, funny, arrogant, and I was a shy kid from a small white town who felt he was way out of his depth.'
