WHAT IS A KETONE BAR?
A bar that has been designed from the ground up to be both ketogenic and to boost ketones. It is a high fat, low carb, moderate protein bar which contains Pure C8 MCT oil.

Pure C8 MCT oil gives the bar its special ketone boosting properties, in the same way as our Ketosource Pure C8 MCT Oil.

WHAT IS A KETONE BAR?


FOR ENDURANCE The bar provides a longer lasting type of energy in the form of 'ketones'. As a result, the bar is suitable for endurance type activities.

FOR WEIGHT LOSS The Ketone Bar provides similar 'satiation' benefits to those experienced on a ketogenic diet. Due to the ketone boost it also has it can be useful to reduce hunger between meals. You may even use it as a meal replacement.

COMPARISON WITH OTHER ENERGY BARS:
There are 3 types of bars available.
1) Low-Carb High Protein bars (e.g. Grenade CarbKilla, Atkins low carb bar, Quest and Phd Smart bars)
2) High Protein bars (e.g. SCI-MX Protein Duo Bars).
3) Ketogenic bars (High fat, low carb, moderate protein) (e.g. Ketosource Ketone Bar).

The Ketone Bar is different from the others on three points:
1. It is high fat. All of the other bars are low fat.
2. It is moderate protein. All of the others have been largely designed as protein bars and are therefore very high protein. Ketogenic nutrition is not high protein.
3. It has been blood tested. The ketone bar has been tested with over 50 people to understand if it has a true ketogenic response. Meaning that after eating you should have a 'flat blood sugar response' (no spike) and it should increase blood ketones. This is why it took 3 years to develop the ketone bar. All other bars in comparison increase blood glucose and decrease blood ketones. They are not ketogenic.
