Rumor of a Werewolf (Monster Mysteries Book 4) / Eddie Jones

Nick Caden solves murder mysteries by watching detective and police shows. Can you figure out who the werewolf is before Nick?

In Sleepy Hollow, Nick Caden uncovers clues surrounding the murder of Candee Brenneman ... and other deadly secrets!

During his investigation into Brenneman's gruesome death, Nick learns that a wolf or some other large animal may have killed the avid jogger and fitness instructor. Her body was found by an employee of RIP's Restaurant under a bridge in Rockefeller State Park. While meeting with the local medical examiner, Nick learns that Brenneman's throat was savagely ripped apart and there were bite marks on her hands, and arms. As the case becomes more complicated, Nick seeks help from a former law officer living out of an Amish buggy and a Native American who teaches Nick about the ways of the Wendigo--all while Nick bunks in the tower of a castle that may be haunted. (There are rats and bats in the belfry.)

But as the last full moon of the month rises over Sleepy Hollow, Nick is about to learn that monsters are real. And the worst kind of monster is the one you never see coming.

"Hey, Nick Caden, here. I know most people say werewolves aren't real but during my investigation into the mysterious circumstances surrounding Candee Brenneman's death I found this in the Bible. Immediately his body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird. Let him live with the animals of the earth. Let his mind be changed from that of a man and let him be given the mind of an animal. I can't say if there is such a thing as The Wolfman or werewolves or whatever, but apparently there was one in the Bible. And a lot of people believe what's in the Bible."
