1. Another Earth – LOVE this movie! Set in a near future where we’ve discovered a duplicate Earth in our solar system. It’s tragic and beautiful. A story about loss and love.
2. A Sound of Thunder – Based on my favorite short story from Ray Bradbury. You see just how dangerous time-travel could really be. Not only could it alter the future, but it can wipe out mankind in its entirety. Spooky! And bonus=cutie Edward Burns.
3. Minority Report – Um. Identify a criminal before they even commit the crime?!?! Cool concept reminds me a little bit of this book I wrote … *cough cough*
4. The Fifth Element – Gotta love the costuming in this one … and Mila Jovovich’s hair!
5. The Terminator – “I came across time for you, Sarah. I love you. I always have.” Sigh.
6. I Am Legend – Yes, with shades of zombie and apocalyptic themes, I have much love for this movie set in the near-future … talk about science/medical research gone awry.
7. Judge Dredd – A time-traveling cop heads to the future to hunt a killer? Bring it.
8. Star Trek (the new films): Captain Kirk. Nuff said.
9. Surrogates – This one felt eerily possible!
10. Stargate – Adventure, suspense, romance! Everything you could want and it was good enough for a TV show spin-off.
