Because the literature pieces form the core instruction in SRAImagine It!, an abundant care is taken to present students withfine, thought-provoking models that they can use asspringboards for their thinking, researching, and knowledgebuilding. Each Student Reader contains literature, fiction andnon-fiction, as well as poetry, which is organized into themes.The literature at all grade levels represents the diversity of oursociety. In addition, expository selections in science andsocial studies teach students to read in the content areas, andreinforce key state science and social studies standards
