Advances in Immunology, Volume 64

This volume in the "Advances in Immunology" series presents recent findings related to the roles of proteasomes in the MHC class I-restricted antigen processing pathway and discusses recent observations and insights on V(D)J recombination. It also examines the structure, function and mechanisms of regulation of mammalian Ets transcription factors and the processes of b2m assembly and peptide loading and the involving molecules. Current concepts and enigmas of lymphocyte homing as well as a description of plasmacytomagenesis in mice and insights into the cellular and molecular biology of human plasma cell dyscrasias are included. In addition, the work provides a summary of the rationale for anti TNFa antibody therapy and its clinical effects.
