Vascular diseases and asthma are two common diseases associated with considerable morbidity and mortality. Both are chronic, each has an inflammatory component, both are accompanied by remodelling of hollow tubes and both are amenable to early intervention. This book compares and contrasts research progress made in each area, including our current understanding of the pathophysiology involved and the results of large-scale multicentre trials.
