Introduction to Control System Analysis and Design

Originally published by Prentice-Hall, this control book has been reprinted by request. A teaching text, suitable for self-instruction, it emphasizes fundamentals, concepts, and understanding with illustrative examples in the text and problems at the end of the chapters. Although concentrating on classical control and the transfer function for an understanding of the system dynamic response and its modification by a controller, the book does treat nonlinear and digital control and modern control theory.
