The reader is given a good grounding in structured programming principles, and then shown how to use them in Stepwise Refinement to create the programming logic in pseudo-code. The four language chapters discuss converting the pseudo-code to the particular language, and also include many hints and suggestions for good programming. The chapters on Testing and Structured Walk-Throughs round out the picture by giving lots of information to insure well designed and correct programs.
