This thorough and excellent book tells you all you need to know about the selection, use and care of fabrics. It has been updated more than once to cover newer fabrics. It is a definitive reference guide. The index alone is 18 pages, it is so detailed. Author is a professor emeritus at NYU Institute of Retail Management who has taught many courses in textiles, testing and consulting. This book is lavishly illustrated, clearly and simply written and nontechnical in tone.
