Threatened Birds of Assam (Bombay Natural History Society)

Identification, protection, and monitoring of Important Bird Areas (IBAs) is a major global conservation programme initiated by BirdLife International, and recognized and appreciated by many governments, NGOs, and conservationists. This book identifies the most threatened and near threatened bird species in Assam and recommends measures for their long-term protection. It discusses seven critically endangered, eight endangered, thirty-three vulnerable, and twenty-eight near threatened birds in Assam.
