NOTES: The Blish story is the first part of the first novel writtenin what became known as the "Okie" series, otherwise called "Cities in Flight." The cover art is actually a photograph, taken from the window of Street & Smith's editorial offices. Editor Campbell calls it "Window to Tomorrow" because he thinks that the U.N. is a wonderful thing offering lots of hope for a brighter future. The damn fool!
