The Student Activities Manual includes the Workbook, Lab Manual, and Video Manual and is available in traditional paper format with an optional separate answer key.

Workbook exercises provide meaningful and communicative writing practice, incorporating the vocabulary and structures introduced in each chapter and offering additional skill-using activities. The Lab Manual exercises provide listening practice that progresses from comprehension only to production, based on what students hear. The exercises stress authentic speech and real-life tasks. Lab Manual recordings feature native speakers of French. The Video Manual complements the listening practice provided in the textbook using additional video clips and expanded activities on DVD or via MyFrenchLabâ„¢.
