During my food styling career, I have received lots of phone calls from photographers and stylists asking questions about styling food. There were usually two reasons for their call: one, they were slightly panicked because they had been asked to photograph food without a food stylist; or two, they felt a need to expand their skills to include food styling in order to keep working regularly. If you are faced with a similar situation or if you are simply curious about food styling, these books are for you.
It is my hope that Food Styling for Photographers and More Food Styling for Photographers will be instrumental in moving you toward a successful food styling experience. Both of these books contain food styling techniques, food styling tips, and offer suggestions for tools and supplies for each project. Most importantly, as you practice techniques illustrated in these books, you will gain confidence which is the most important tool to take to the set!
