Before 1968, astrology had a narrow following in the United States and around the world.

Linda Goodman, a native of West Virginia, popularized astrology with the publication of Linda Goodman’s Sun Signs in 1968. Sun Signs is the only astrology book ever to appear on the New York Times bestseller list. It has sold tens of millions of copies worldwide and is the single most widely read introduction to astrology in the world.

Ten years after the Sun Signs phenomenon, Linda Goodman published Linda Goodman Love Signs which answered the question posed by every reader of astrology – how does my sign relate to the twelve signs of the zodiac. Love Signs was at least as big an international success as Sun Signs.

Linda Goodman led a very private life. She rarely granted interviews and infrequently responded to the tens of thousands of pieces of fan mail.
