The Macmillan Short Course Programme: Observations

This "Student's Book" is part of a three level programme written especially for learners coming to Britain to learn English. It draws on the local environment and encourages students to develop their language skills through observation and discussion of the things in the everyday life around them, relating these to their own cultures, reflecting on both similarities and differences. Each student's book contains four 16-page units and has space for students to write in. The cassettes feature a variety of native and non-native speaker's accents, tones and registers - with the aim of providing students with authentic listening practice.
