When three adventurous holiday-makers, Victoria, Sophie and Gareth, stay at the Villa Raffaello in the Tuscan hills, they stumble upon the truth about its sinister past. Elaine and Barbara, mistresses of the house, are determined to guard its secret, and use Amber and Gemma, their maids, as bait.
