The Music Kit: Workbook and Rhythm Reader and Scorebook

A complete instructional package to learn basic music skills. Workbook: Students become familiar with melody and harmony by working through a series of carefully graded exercises involving pitch, notation, intervals, scales, key signatures, and chords. These exercises continually involve students as they develop basic musical concepts. Rhythm Reader and Scorebook: Students learn the principal components of rhythm--note values, time signatures, meter, etc.--through a series of carefully graded exercises and 44 core rhythms. The Scorebook contains 79 short pieces drawn from various repertories throughout the world. These selections serve as the basis for many of the exercises in the Workbook and Rhythm Reader.
