The Long March

Culver has been called off the Korean War reserve list to take part in manoeuvres in South Carolina. Templeton orders his men to endure a 36 mile march to get them into combat shape, and Culver sees his friend Mannix involved in a battle of wills that reveals the cruelty and stupidity of war.
