This is a general textbook on microprocessor based system design that caters for advanced studies at HNC/HND level. The book concentrates on the development of 8-bit microcontrollers constructed around the versatile Z80 microprocessor which is widely used in colleges and is suitable for most industrial applications. The explanation of systems and processes is also largely applicable to other types of microprocessors. A basic knowledge of microprocessor principles and machine code programming is assumed.
